Extracurricular activities:

Extracurricular activities are an important part of any child’s development. They provide a chance for children to grow their skills in areas they may not get to experience normally, and they allow them to make new friends, learn social skills and develop as individuals.

Participating in extracurricular activities can also be beneficial for children who may be struggling with their mental health. It can help them feel less isolated and give them a sense of belonging.

Extracurricular activities can also help improve children’s self-esteem by showing them how much they can achieve when they put their mind to something. It also gives them an opportunity to learn about teamwork, which is essential for future success in life.

At The Kindergartens, we have found that encouraging each child develop a passion for something that they enjoy doing or learning about has real benefit to their readiness for school. You may notice them spending more time at home reading about their favourite subject or taking an interest in sports, simple sciences, creative activities or nature and the outdoors.
